Rev. John Patrick Feagins has served as pastor of La Trinidad UMC since 2013. Pastor John responded to the call to ministry while volunteering in the Wesley Foundation Campus Ministry at the University of Texas at Austin and received an M.Div. from Perkins School of Theology and his first ministry appointment in 1995. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, Pastor John’s ministry journey has included missions work in Mexico, local church appointments in San Antonio and the U.S. Mexico border, church development and revitalization, campus ministry leadership, music ministry, and teaching Wesleyan theology through the Course of Study School and Honduras UMC mission. Pastor John was recently elected as chaplain of a San Antonio LULAC council and as a member of the SEHIMM – the Society for the Study of Mexican Methodist History in the North Central Conference of Mexican Methodism.
Rev. Raquel Cajiri Feagins has served as associate pastor of La Trinidad UMC since 2017. Pastor Raquel responded to the call to ministry while working as a High School English instructor in the border city of Progreso, Texas, received an M.Div. from Perkins School of Theology in 2007 and her first ministry appointment in 2008. She has served in both local church and critical-care hospital chaplaincy. At La Trinidad UMC, Pastor Raquel specializes in liturgy, worship, discipleship, administrative and stewardship ministries, and pastoral care. She was recently elected to serve on the 2020 (now 2024) General Conference delegation and is currently the executive secretary for MARCHA, the Hispanic Caucus of the United Methodist Church.
